 2026 President's Welcome

It is my distinct privilege to serve as the 57th President of the Eastern Orthopaedic Association (EOA). Since its founding in 1970, the EOA has stood as a premier forum where orthopaedic surgeons, trainees and industry come together to share knowledge, foster collegiality, and engage in meaningful professional development — all within settings that also provide memorable and enjoyable experiences for our families.
In keeping with this proud tradition, I am delighted to announce that our 2026 Annual Meeting will be held at the iconic Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach from October 15–18, 2026. Under the leadership of our Program Chair, Dr. Arjun Saxena, an exceptional scientific program is being crafted — one that highlights the latest advances in orthopaedic research, addresses timely issues in general orthopaedics, and explores impactful advances across orthopaedic subspecialties.
In addition, the 2026 EOA meeting program promises to be an extraordinary event with Ned Amendola, AAOS president as the keynote Speaker, Damon West, an author and a great inspirational speaker as the Howard Steel Lecturer and much more.
Beyond the academic program, October is a spectacular time to enjoy Miami’s vibrant culture and natural beauty. Our Social Committee is planning a variety of exciting events and local excursions to ensure that this meeting offers enrichment not only for our members but also for their families.
It is with great enthusiasm that I invite all of you — long-time members and new colleagues alike — to join us for what promises to be another outstanding annual meeting of the Eastern Orthopaedic Association.
